This handmade felt page is a lovely introduction to lacing for young children. Thread the worm through the sequence of holes to help him find his way through the apple. It builds the careful hand movements and concentration that children need for early writing, tying shoelaces, and threading.
The sequencing element adds an extra layer of learning - children begin to understand patterns and order as they guide the worm from start to finish.
Made by hand from soft, durable felt in our workshop on the Wild Atlantic Way in the west of Ireland. The cord has a worm at the tip for easy threading and is securely attached.
